The award ceremony for the winners of the annual award "World Automotive Components - 2012" was held in Moscow on August 29 as part of the MIMSAutomechanika exhibition. This non-profit event has become an effective and, undoubtedly, objective tool for identifying the true leaders of the automotive components industry.
The "World Automotive Components - 2012" award nominees, organized by Max Media Publishing House with the support of ASM-Holding, "Automotive Time" publishing house, along with the world-famous manufacturers promoting their products in our country and their Russian distributors, also included regional companies and the companies that have recently appeared on the market. All of them had an equal chance to win: the leaders were chosen through an open vote (more than 23 thousand people participated in it), held on the official website of the award (www.mak-award.com) and at the exhibition MIMS-Automechanika, as well as by the expert council consisting of leading experts in the automotive industry, government agencies, public organizations and representatives of specialized publications.
Every day at the stand of Autocomponents magazine working at the exhibition MIMSAutomechanika there was a drawing of prizes and gifts (provided by companies Petrolyub, Bautler, Philips, Osram and Webasto) for all those who voted at the official site of the prize, and also by filling in questionnaires at the stand
The last four categories require further explanation. The first one, "For Product Promotion", was given to Flennor brand for the active launch on the Russian market of the whole range of car components it produces and for the considerable increase of its share in several car market segments at once.
Continental won in the "Novelty of the Year" nomination thanks to launching of the new ContiPremiumContact 5 summer tire to the Russian market. Mann-Filter won the prize in the "Innovative Development of the Year" nomination for creation of the adhesive braid-GST technology, which prevents deformation of the pleated filter material by exposure to moisture or large amounts of dirt.
The honorary title "Brand of the Year" was awarded to the nominee who was consistently among the leaders in the vast majority of nominations and was recommended by the expert council as actively promoting a wide range of its products on the Russian market.
The Bosch brand deservedly became the winner. The final results of the World Automotive Components - 2012 awards are made public to the international community of motorists, and the winners in each of the nominations deserved not only all-Russian but also worldwide recognition.
